I'm new to the nitro rc world but I'm looking at building a track for me and my buddies i have an old dirt bike track being put to use right now but i want to mellow it out a bit so my question is how big can i go jumps without worrying about breaking parts every time i take it out and any pointers will be great thanks in advance -jim

Jumping an rc is a lot like jumping a dirt bike, the better you get at it the bigger jumps you can take without killing the truck. Rc's also gyro in flight just like a dirt bike...thottle on brings the nose up, hit the brake and your nose down. I have broken things on a 2 ft jump but hit 10 or more ft of air over and over without breaking anything, a good landing is key. The rc you use will also make a difference.

EDIT: accourding to your profile your running a maxx 3.3, hopfully the one with the thicker chassis. Your going to need a lot of spare bulk heads and skid plates or find a quality set of aluminum bulks and skids...Not integy!

While usingthe throttle to adjust your flight, try to let off the throttle just before you land. Landing on throttle can chew gears up.

ok thanks wheres the best place to get aluminum bulkheads?

A lot of the online shops like A Main Hobbies and Carolinas RC carry them. As SMaxxin stated avoid Integy. Integy = Junk. Too many of us here have had problems with their products.

when i first started jumpin i tore my tryuck up untill i learned just how to hit the gas at diff speeds to land and it also depends if your landin on another jump, your gonna wanna nose forward, only breakin stuff and jumpin is goin to get you where its natural, youll learn and you will break..........good day
