Well - Nitromaniac came up for the weekend to bash the buggies and TC3's - you listening NCNitro??? lol.
What a great time, sort of. The rain held us up a bit.
Saturday:
I just got my new piston/sleeve/conrod installed in my OS .21RZ and he almost had his OS broken in also. So although it rained for most of the day, we were still able to get all the final break in settings acomplished. He also brought up some new Ellegi foams for my NTC3 that i wanted to try out. WOW - talk about compression, it took all three starter boxes to get that damn OS broken in. tight SOB! We also took a trip to the ultimate RC store, Superior hobbies, where i picked up some misc items, and he got the XXX Main tuning guide.
When we got home - it was still raining, so we hung out and watched XXX Main the video, and XXX Main 2, the DVD.
Later that night we went to a pimps n ho's bash, and then to hooters, but more on that in the General Chaos forum.
Sunday:
There were supposed to be two races going on. 1 at the offroad track i showed everyone pictures of here, and another at a brand new on road track, its grand opening.
Well, we took the buggies down to the offroad track, but due to saturday's rain, the race was cancelled and the track flooded. Nitromaniac did get to see, first hand, the track at which the Winter Bash will be held though. After that, we went out to see the new on road track. WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! This track puts all others to shame. I will be posting photos of it soon. The thing is HUGE!!!! black top all around, green paint and astroturf in the infield, red/white raised corner bumps. Had to cost at least 100K to build. They were racing, but neither of our TC3.s were dialed in, so we watched a few races, then headed out to go bash at my local bash spot.
On the way there, we stopped at the greatest Ponderosa Buffet ever, but again - more on that in the general chaos forum.
At the bash site - we got the TC's up n running, set up a makeshift track, and bashed away. ran about 10-12 tanks of fuel. One other guy there too, with a new RS4RTR. After a few hours, broke out the buggies, and did a bit of on road bashing too. Things were both running strong till nitromaniacs Rcvr batteries got low, and he went careening into a car tire. broke a bolt, but other than that, no damage.
Shortly afterwards, we headed home, took a small break, and called it a day.
Overall- it was a great bash weekend - and i can't wait till we do it again. I have two seperate on road races the nex two weekends, the 2nd one being at that new track, so i think he is gonna come back up and enter his NTC3 in that race too.
