Here in the Tulsa area there is an outdoor track - but they say 1:8 scale - well my TMaxx is called a 1:10 scale; but sitting next to the Stampede, which is a 1:10 scale, the TMaxx towers it. Is a 1:8 that much larger than my TMaxx?

It's kind of really depends on the manufacturer I think. I have a Arrma Typhon that's supposed to be a 1/8 but it isn't any bigger than my Stampedes.

I agree with Tunedpipe, my HPI Savage 25 was marketed as a 1/8 scale but it's about the same size as a the T-Maxx.

I think I will take it out there and see if they will let us run it. Was going to go this Saturday but the grandson has a birthday party to attend.
