8.4v battery pack

I have a 6v hump that I am using now and I understand how the Mah's and voltage works. I also have a 8.4v hump pack from my heli that I was thinking of putting in my savage. I run the Jr Horizion Spektrum Dx3 controller and a 133oz steering servo with stock steering servo for throttle and stock throttle servo for my reverse. I get plenty of power from this set up but was curious if using the 8.4v would fry my componets?
Any thoughts??

I would be careful putting that much voltage to your electronics I am prety sure they are only rated for 4.8 to 6.0 volts but I could be wrong maybe if you have some old servos and stuff you don't care about frying you could try it on those first, or contact the manufacture of your current radio gear good luck..

If I remember correctly, some receivers can handle that voltage since it goes through a circuit that will not overload the system. I couldn't tell you which receivers though.
I also believe that voltage to the servos will not exceed 6V, due to the same circuit.
I wouldn't try it unless I had the manufacturer's info on the receiver.
