ok i just got the new steel clutch for the 8.0 and i just love it. so here just to say that if you need to replace your clutch get the steel clutch for the 8.0. no more shoes..
my 2 cents. I got sucked into the steel clutch and after splitting two of them in half I went back to the aluminum clutch. It may not grab as hard but it works consistently.
Never saw a setup like that before. So do you just cut the fiber strip up and glue it to the face of the steel shoe thing? Seems like it would be as high of maintenance as an alloy shoe set, if not more so.
i used electric tape around the clutch and glued the shoe the the bell housing then inserted the in the bell to make a tight fit after the glue had dried remove the tape and your good to go.
