I have replaced the main bearing/seal in my MGT 8.0 twice (the lower bearing/seal behind the clutch/flywheel) due to leaks. Is there a better bearing/seal combo out there? I'd hate to keep putting the same P.O.S. in if there is something better... thanks in advance!! glenn

Just the stock 25445 and 25446 from AE. I can't seem to find the right size (Boca and Acer seem to sell by size, not part #). The seal in the bearing is what I'm having trouble with, as it's rated at 250 degrees. If anyone knows the size of the bearings that would be helpful... thanks for taking the time to respond.

Thanks olds, I did the same with no luck. I'll hammer it out and measure it and see if I can get a Boca or Acer. Has anyone else had this problem with their 8?

Don't hammer it out. Trust me, it's not worth ruining the crank case. Although, you said you already did this more than once... so I'm guessing whatever method your using is working.

I used to "hammer" mine out but recently tried the heating method then wacked the crank case on a board. They pop right out without a bunch of cussing and throwing of things. I heated mine up to around 250F-280F in a toaster oven then grabbed it in a kevlar oven glove and just whacked it on a board. Did it with three crank cases in one afternoon. Using that method on each one worked like a charm. Even one I had previously tried to "hammer" out for an hour and gave up on.
