Hello i have no clue on electrics. I'm getting a tlt 1 micro max climber. It says i need a 540 size motor. Can someone recomend thier motor in this class of choice?

Also what type of speed control do i need?

I did not know they were 540 size. Are you postitive they are 540?

The cans for the 540 are identical to those of a 19 turn motor but wider in length.
If you are looking for a serious brushless system go to www.speeddesignz.com

You can use stock, 19 turn, or modified. just make sure your speed control can handle what you put in.
I have a micro rs4 with a monster pro stock and it can keep up with my 10x2 kr. 10th scale. i put a 10x2 in the rs4 and the foam ripped apart. as soon as i gave it throttle.

Pie, I don't know how much you're looking to spend.

Brushless is great if you want to put that much money into it. If you don't, then I think you'd be happy with a normal brushed 540 motor. A 540 motor is the standard sized car/truck motor that you'd see in 1/10 scale. Sometimes you'll also hear 540 motor being called 05 motors....same thing.

Does your truck also come with a speed control, or do you need to pick up one of those also?

Thanks. I just wasn't shure if 540 is the standard size. No the truck is a full kit. I will qet an lrp quntam 2(i think thats what its called) if i go brushed. If i go brushless i dont know which esc i would get.
