My friend gave me some Trinity 50 weight shock oil and i was just wondering if that would be to heavy for a savage. I dont want to start bending shock shafts and stuff becuase the oil is to heavy.

If you are running aluminum shocks you should be alright, if you are using the stocks, I wouldnt go over 35wt.

I'm running the supermaxx shocks (4) on my savage with new era's upper arms for attachment. These shocks are really beefy, but I busted two shock pistons running 60 weight.

I also tried running 50 in the savage with HB al shocks and 6 out of the eight broke.

Just posting to give you reference.
