I assume that my new 5 2700mAH cell Rx pack will not charge with a charger producing 5.6V?

I seem to recall the charge voltage must be greater than the discharge voltage for the battery to charge. Car battery circuits run at 14.5V when the engine is running for example.

Your probably right on the money. Just be sure and check your chargers specs out. They're usually rated by how many cells they can charge. Charge them batteries at low amps, too. That's a pretty high mah hump pack, so anywhere from .08 to somewhere around 1.5 amps should be ok. Just keep an eye on the battery's temp.

Actually, sorry, it's a 1200mAh. The AA's for the Tx are 2700. Charger only handles 4 cells, so I'll have to get another charger :(

BTW, the charger is a bit of a joke, it's a 3-in-1 job, does Tx, Glow Igniter, Rx Pack. But... what for it. 2700mAh batteries in the Tx and the quoted charge time is 105mins per 100mAh. So, that's about 56 hours!

yea i'd say thats a little bit of a joke. Just get yourself a good charger and some charge adapters and you should be ok
