Been wanting to do this for awhile. Final made it happen. It's amazing how well it works.

Kyosho Ultima from the late 80's I believe. The Blackfoot body fits it too well.:)

You don't write. You don't call. We thought you had left us for good.

so what exactly did you do here....put the rear end of another pede on the front end to make it 4x4....thats just crazy...explain please I'm very interested...lol...

What's up and hope all's well fellows! I have no excuse other than working 60 hour weeks all year. Just like plenty of y'all.:) This pede just works too well. It isn't the cleanest or prettiest conversion of the sort I've seen, but it only cost a few spares and the 4x4 pede steering parts. $20 in all. I have it geared 25/87 with 5.25" tall redcat tires on it, and I can not get either of the motors to hit 100 degrees. Even in grass. Batteries and esc get to around 100. Tops out around 30 I'd guess. I'll do a break down of it when I get time for others to get ideas from.

Come on man, I work 80.5 hour weeks from july to december and anywhere from 40-60 the rest of the year.;)....That's cool though, I have to make time for projects and RCNT. What else is new?

I threw a velenion combo into that ultima and strapped some 2s 4000mah Zippys into the pede. The ultima is plain dumb. I can't believe it holds up. I have an 8cell 4600 Intellect pack in it. You can imagine how fast it goes with that power to weight ratio.:) It's faster than a 4x4 pede on 2s, geared 11/54 with 3.2 Mashers on it. Quite a bit faster.

Where did you dig up that relic? I'm talking about the Blackfoot body. I only ask because that was the very first hobby grade rc I bought. I think I was around 12 years old.....AHHH memories!

Me too.:) I bought another one on ebay a couple years ago. It just happened to fit this ultima. Radio rat was the one to get er all the way up to speed. I've since threw an old tc3 body on it. Blackfoot didn't stand a chance.

Yeah the hard plastic body lasted about 3 runs on mine but I didn't care I still ran the hell of it without a body forever. I finaly put a Bigfoot lexan body on it. Man I thought that thing was amazing back then.
