Little trick I used to do to keep from losing dog bones was to loosely make a loop out of wire around the dog bone, but make the loop small enough so the end of the dog bone couldn't fit through and then attach the other end of the wire to the upper a arm, turnbuckle, tie rod whatever so if the dog one pops out it is retained by the wire noose you have made.

My s30 was bought couple days before Christmas.
ended up having to go and buy a lossi mini 8 cause the s30 wouldn't run and it was a present for kid.
Had it on Craigslist since day after Christmas with best offer being a $40 gun. Lol

without knowing what the setup looks like could you cut a bit of fuel tubing and insert it in both ends of the c-cups that hold the dogbones to eliminate play on the dogbone. could probably make em wear less too. thats what i did to my hpi drifter it used to pop a dogbone out when id burn donuts and it would get stuck in the alloy wheel and kick the opposite wheel into overtime. a frightening thought. shock not good for diff, tyres, dogbone and alloys. after i done this its never happened since.
