Ok i have a tmaxx 3.3 4909 and it had the brake hub assembly. I went with a foc in it and now it appears that i need the 4908 brake assembly. Can anyone confirm this? If so, will the only thing i need be the new brake disk? Will the front steel shaft still work?

No, your brake assembly is all the same parts. Same tranny with a little different gearing.

it had the hub assembly on it before. now the hole on the output for the front driveshaft is soo far forward, there is no way i can get the centerpin to go through the shaft and the brake hub. does that make sense? i can get pics later but basically the hole on the center output is farther out and the hub doesn't line up with the brake pads.

i'm not buying this so don't worry.
these are the 4909 brakes. https://integy.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=4511&p_catid=
