I just got this car on friday for free and the guy said it needs new fuel lines so I replace those but whil I was looking at the car I seen that the rubber exhaust pipe was cracked so it was not getting any pressure to the fuel lines so i replaced that. For the last three days I have been trying to get this ting running right and I can't. It has the pro 15 in it and whenever I get past half throttle it bogs down and wants to stall i have checked all the lines and the tank for leaks, reset settings to factory and yet I am not able to get this thing running right also it is not shifting into second gear if anyone has any ideas that they could share I would apprecite it greatly thank you in advance.

if you get rid of it...send it to me..hehe

It probably isn't shifting because it's not getting enough rpm to shift if it bogs down past 1/2 throttle. Try giving it like a 1/2 turn leaner on the high end since it's bogging

Hey Twiztid just give it to my brother and ill keep it.

My brother has that exact car and engine in it, and i think that was happening to him awhile ago...when he gets back from camping i'll ask him (he'll be back tomorow morning)

Just an update. Last night he brought it over and we swaped carbs with an old one I had and tuned it and got it running. We just need to get some new tires for it. Its at my house now Ill think ill take it for a spin.

I have the same car, and I'm about to go nuts with it's handling. Right out of the box the 2 speed shift point was way off. I finally ran it all the way in (~3 turns) so that it would always be in 1st, then backed off ~1/2 turn and it was about right when it shifted. The factory needles needed some leaning too. I'm burning 10% Omega and it still acts like it's running rich but it's temping at 275f.

While I'm bitchin about the 4tec:
Some of the front suspension "turn buckles" are not.
The camber and toe-in were way off.
The tires don't grip, the other tires I had don't when I'm off the throttle.
The fuel line is preheated by running right past the cylinder.
The muffler has a baffle.
My stock body looks like it was trimmed with a chainsaw and didn't have the wing.
The LHS I got it at won't take it back.
But the ez-starter is really nice.

Just my observations.
