My 4.6 rod knocked a hole in the side of my block. I'm looking for a replacement motor. Does anyone have any info about CEN Racing NX76 7.7 motor fit on my savage? Is it a good motor?

I haven't had one but from everything I've read it isn't much more of an engine over the 4.6 you had. It should fit though,my main concern would be if you use the roto start and making sure you can access it with whatever plate it has on the rear. Pull-start should be no problem.

I would steer clear of those engines, any decent .28 will smoke it with power and 10X the reliability. It seems a lot of people have issues getting them to run properly and due to it's size it is a fuel sucking pig. The LRP .28/.30 or Picco .28 are much better engines and way more reliable.

Thanks for the advice. I put my .25 on my 4.6 frame with a 17/47 combo, a set of Pro line 40's, City Blocks, big bores, and an HPI tuned pipe and it runs about as fast as I could really want it to. I think I'm gonna try a 49 spur gear, but I don't know if the load on the engine will be too much. We'll see!

I just checked out a review of the CEN Genesis. Watched a video of it running on a pretty decent looking track and :hehe: MY SAVAGE WITH IT'S .25 WILL BLISTER THE PAINT OFF OF IT! :flamer::redbuggy:

A 49T spur will actually be easier on the engine than the 47T.

I don't believe the CEN engine will drop in. It's a got a larger crank case than a typical big block.
