38t spurgear to a 36t gear

I have a 36t spur gear and want to swap it in place of the factory installed 38t gear to get a little better high end speed, can I just swap it out?

swap it and readjust your mesh ..thats all there is to do

Thanks Mac, I glad to see no one just saying "yeah just install it" it really shows the integrity of this forum because you cannot just install it because its about 3mm smaller than the 38t gear.

If where you drive labors the engine much currently, then going with higher gearing will make it worse.
