was going to run 30 % nitro in the 26 outlaw in motor , what glow plug should i use

Hey,

I have to ask and keeping in mind that my name is 30% (HAHA). Why do want to run 30% nitro in that engine?? I'm assuming it's because YOU THINK your going to get allot more power out of your engine by running said nitro content. That engine is specifically made to run 20% or lower and you NOT going to c a significant gain in powe that will justify the shortened engine life. I've run that engine with 20% and it screams like a virgin on prom night. The shortened engine life can turn into DRAMATICALLY shortened engine life if the engine isn't setup correct. Unless your a factory sponsored racer that's getting free engines (in which case I'd run an even high nitro content as who cares if your blow the engine when they're free), do yourself a favor and run 20%. You'll thank me l8tr as nitro engines are expensive.

I disagree with that comment. I have run 20 - 40% in my engines and do notice a difference between the different percentages. I have yet to notice a difference between the lifespan of an engine as a result. If you tune your engine well and treat it nice it will last just as long no matter which fuel. You will get more power out of the higher pecentages.

As far as your question went on which glow plug, I personally run an OS#8 in my engines with 30% and no problems.

not planning on running it all the time only when we race , my buddies has the 9.5 violator and when we run they are about dead even an di believe alittle bit more nitro content and it will be enough to give me the edge , i really appreciate all the input , I've tried playing with gearing but it flips over , I've got it now to where when it takes off it will pack the wheels about an inch off the ground

Hey El Pirata - Well, in the end I hope we can all agree to disagree bro. Yes, you'll c some power gain but I've seen some substantially shortened engine life on different engines over the years. For my tastes, the cons don't outweigh the pros on some engines. And of course my engines are always properly tuned.

Pkg2003 - That's a mean ass engine dude with a torque curve that drops right off in the middle. It's got ALLOT of low and mid range power. It's no female pee pee in the top end department either but mid and low end is where it shines. I've never run the Violator but I bet it's a beast with that engine. If you wanna try 30%, I would definitley try a mid-range plug like an O.S. #8 like El Pirata, that or something even cooler.

Edit - I've never tried foxplus like the above poster reco'd buy I've heard many good things about them.

Peace

hey guys!
I have run up to 65% nitro in my Hpi stock 15 engine in my nitro rush, and it is a night and day difference, and i still have to rebuild every 2-3 gallons and that is good for one of those hpi cheapoes.
But..
I trust your opionion but maybe it is the engines i am running with my st's and mt's.

I run Fox plugs in my rides and they work just fine. I have them in two .21 and one .15 engine.
