3 speed tranny

I Would like to purchase a three speed transmission for savage 25,but was wondering if all 3 speed transmission are all the same for all savages.Example (Will the XL 3 speed fit right in the savage 25)Thanks

I don't know about the XL transmission, but the assembled 3 speed is a direct bolt in.

However, if you want the best setup, get a Savage X 4.6 transmission case and the three speed kit. The revised X case will allow you to adjust the shift points MUCH easier, and it's a direct bolt-in to the S25 Savage (that's the setup I have).

They will all fit including the xl.

i believe that they are all the same including the xl.

I have the xl 3peed in my savage ss and it is the better one to get as it comes with the high speed third gear in it as a stock option.
