3 speed tranny

Hi everybody! I was wondering if i get a 3 speed trans for the savage x, is there anything else that i need to get to fit this baby on ? remember I'm just a ROOKIE in this hobby

Nope, everything you need comes in the box. However, you will need to take the case completely out of the truck. The upgrade comes with instructions on how to do this.

If you are even remotely considering the reverse module, now is the time to purchase it and install it too.

i checked it out and the speed after travelling 132 feet for the 2 speed is of 36.9 mph and the 3 speed is of 38.5 , and the top speed of them both respectively is of 38.2 and 40 .5 mph , so in my opinion doesn't make much of a difference for the price you are going to pay , and the difference in time to get to top speed is only a matter of a fractions of a sec,i would up grade elsewhere on your truck bro, maybe a better pipe , your brakes better servos for steering etc...

but it sounds so cool when your truck shifts and everyone elses truck does not also i think there is more torque with the 3 speed than the 2 speed

ya more high end speed but not by much and more torque

Although, more torque could be found with a stronger engine...

I do like the shifting sound though.

installed this in my buddy's savage X SS, shifting sounds cool. but with a fresh and tuned K4.6, my .18TM revo pulls on it....
