I am a newbie i just bought a 3.3 and it has reverse anyway i am having problems with it switching gears and sometimes it goes into reverse when i first turn it on and it is a pain to get it into drive. i was thinking about switching to a foward only trans and was wondering how hard it would be and what i would need to do it. i know i would have to take off the servo but wasn't sure if i could just buy a new 2-speed foward only trans and install it without any problems thanks for the help
 
You can buy the Forward Only conversion from tower hobbies and then you can go to Traxxas.com and get the Manual for the transmission. It will give you some kinda idea how it all goes together.
 
jus buy the foc and it comes with instructions and you should buy it new from ebay it will be cheaper
 
My friend bought one yesterday at our LHS and it was only $11. And it did come with instructions. One thing you might try, if you havent already, is turing the throttle trim on your remote down. If it idles 2 high it wont hardly go into reverse. If your throttle trim is all the way down maybe adjust your idle needle on your carb down just a smidge and see if that helps
