Try out the MC-9. That's a long, cold plug. Give that a shot and see how you like it.

You can have 2 of the same engines side by side and it can happen that one runs better off of anoter type of plug than the other. Generaly .21 sized engines run better off of long, cold-med plugs. You're probably going to have to play with it a little bit, but from what I'm experienced, the MC-9 is a great plug.

Cold plug is for higher nitro content, such as 25% or 30%. Plus, as the name implies, the temps will run a little cooler when compared to a hot plug. Since it is now summer & higher temps outside, a cold plug is the WTG.

I run these plugs w/ great success and have to rarely change them out.

MC-9 - Cold Plug - Good for summertime
MC-8 - Med-Cold Plug - Good for spring/fall
MC-59 - Hot Plug - Good for winter & during Break-In

I am running an os #8 in mine and it works beautifully. I think it is even what the manual recommends.
It is a med type of plug

i use the mc-coysmc59's and their fine but i have got the os 8's as spare

I run the OS #8 in my omega 21. I think it's made by picco. Anyway, the #8 really makes it run nice. Just don't go with a hot plug. I tried OS's A3 and it sucked. The hotter the plug, the earlier the ingnition happens. I think with the hot plug in my omega, it was making it fire on the upstroke of the piston. Made it run hot because I was trying to lean it to get power out of it. The engine was fighting with itself. With the #8 in it, I can no longer control it. I think it fires exactly when it should now. Way to much power for my unexperianced hands.

I run trinity mhp 20%

I will have to look at the OS#8. I am running the OFNA-6S.
it's a med plug and I'm just getting through my break in. I'm on my fourth or fifth tank (it's been awhile since I last ran the truck) and it didn't want to start so I put in the 6s and it started in about 5 pulls. Anyway, my point is, I wonder why no one is using the OFNA/Picco plugs?

I for one do RC on a budget and I actually run tower hobbies plugs. It is the equivalent to OS plugs and honestly they are the same damn thing. They work just fine.

I run the OS #8. It's been a great plug. Haven't tried one of the McCoy's cause they're more expensive, but people seem to like them a lot...
