I have looked and looked. Two things were found out. One, the NitroStar 21BB is no longer HPI's lead 21 engine, and two...they do not give out a claimed hp on any of their engines.

Their new Novarossi built product is the NitroStar 21SR, and the hp claimed or otherwise is not listed anywhere that I can find.

Shait, my LHS mentioned that they are geting Savages in with a 26! Is it not better to put a 26 in?

The Picco .26 Outlaw seems to be the big engine of choice these days. I personally use the Hyper .21 8-Port, and am very happy with it. If I kill the hyper, I replace it with the Outlaw, but I do not see that happening any time soon.

As for your LHS getting in Savages with .26 engines in them, my question would be who are they getting them from? Are they getting them in modified, because HPI does not show anything on their site about changing the Savage from a .21 to a .26 engine. I would ask your LHS to clarify that piece of information.

well my LHS has been doing sort of the same thing...you can buy the savage as is, or you can pay about $200 more to get the .26 Outlaw and some upgraded shocks/springs and some other things as well (i just can't think of them right now)....Its kewl cause it would cost alot more if you bought and installed those parts yourself.

Sort of like how the most of Harley Dealers will hop up the bike (along with a bit of the cost) automatically for you. They know your going to want to upgrade it anyway, so why not save you a little $ and make themselves a little more $$ to give you something you "really" want.
