Unless those are titanium or spring steel skids, you might want to give some consideration to ditching them. They will spend more time getting unbent than not.

Otherwise, sweet looking ride. I think you will be pleased with the powerplant combination you have chosen. The Hyper is a great engine (IMHO), and that pipe should only help it produce more power.

Finish it up soon, so we can here how she runs.

Look at that sexy beast. Enjoy breaking that Hyper 8 port in. I just started working on mine today. What a PITA. I haven't broken the pull starter yet. :) Gloves are very recommened.

Those are the Hardcore Titanium skids. I was looking into buying those RC Solutions Spring steel skids, but these still have life in em...
I'll let ya know how the breakin goes, I'm just waitin on a spacer for my flywheel. As you can see, I still have to install the receiver, clean up the wiring, install the linkage and shorten the fuel lines a bit. I just updated my parts list above... I think I got everything...lol

SEX SELLS! Man that looks sweet as hell!

Great Job ImB!!!!!!!

Keep us posted on how much you are pissed off because you have to strap a brick to the front end to keep it down :hehe:

I'm just trying to prepare myself for the breakin of this mill... I keep reading nothing but horror stories...lol
Some tips/tricks to a better breakin experience ???
I have to really dig deep for some patience with new engines... My OS cvx was almost ripped out & thrown across the street during a bad breakin experience...lol

Thanks for the compliments, now I just have to design & paint a FANCY lid for this beast...

#1 tip = DO NOT attempt to get it started with the glow plug completely tightened. Tighten down and loosen a 1/4 turn. This will help HUGE! You can always tighten it back down after its running. Wear a leather glove! And dont pull the pullstart too far (you seen what I did easily)

#2 tip = Because of the high compression this mill cranks out, be patient, very patient, idle a couple of tanks (I would) and THEN start doing the low speed runs.

Oh if you could only know half of the thing I said outloud to my Hyper today....lol. I have been going slow with it. Just getting it started right now is the hardest part.....

You could always run with that chrome body that you brought to the bash. I bet that would look good on your new conversion....

From what I hear, the first start is half the battle...lol
I've decided to sell the Purple/chrome flame lid & shoot a fresh one...lol Airbrushing is just too damn fun...

As often as that new ride is gonna be flippin', maybe you ought to keep it as your break in lid...that way you can screw it up totally, and not worry about all those shiney parts getting trashed.

You guys really think its going to be that powerful ??? My Maxx has some weight to it with all the Aluminum/Titanium crap...
I can't wait to see this...lol

trust me and everybody else here. these damn .21 mills they just dont like to leave the front tires on the ground. i have the 24.7 engine and i can't for the life of me get it too keep the wheels on the ground. i am about ready to go and stick a 20 pound brick to the front end.

bryan

Since he is my Bro- in- Law maybe he will let me give it a whirl. Buts its only gonna make me keep the conversion kit I'm sellin LOL

Well, I have an issue... My receiver box will not fit in the location, on the chassis, where its supposed to... The damn pipe is too long... Any suggestions ?? I was going to just drill a hole in the bottow of the case & zip tie it to the spider chassis... It will work, but I was hoping not to half ass it...
