Damn. I feel sorry for her sister. Ever been to Utica?

No, and if I have my way, I never will go to Utica.

Her sister got married 'bout a year or so ago and her husband is a principal for an elementary school up there. She moved from Cleveland, so maybe for her it's been a non-issue!

At the very least, she's happy, I don't have to go and I get to visit New York and put faces with the names.

Just need to start pacing the liver and kidneys!

Hey Woodie, we need to rope Jet in on this. He lives in Indy and can probably hook us up with a flight there!

Here's my pick.
Being that NYC is the biggest tourist attraction in the USA, I would leave that option open.
As for the track, I'd say Trax 70 due to the size of the place, and the kindness of the people who run the place.
They have always been good to us so I pick trax 70
Great Adventure on a Saturday during school season is suicide.
2 hour lines, crowded, and as grown men, Rides??

I'd have to agree - I'd rather just go to one place and call it done. If not then we're going to be spending the entire weekend doing nothing but driving from track to track.

We need to find a track in NY that is open and will let use run there, in not then we need to find a city park or something similar (as we did in the 1st ECB, before the BMX track). That's just my opinion, then again I'm already driving 600 miles.

ps. Monkey that would be cool - we need to get Jet to got too!

OK.
After speaking to a few of the guy's that are gonna make it, this is what we're going to do.
Saturday, we will go to a local dirt pit in Staten Island, bash the poop out of your trucks.
Saturday night (not late) go to Times Square for dinner.
Sunday, go to Trax 70.
I spoke to one of the directors there and he's checking the dates.
He said either way, shouldn't be a problem.
What you guy's do after Sunday is up to you.

Buddha, I didn't know that you had plans SO I"M SORRY
THAT I MADE YOU TYPE IN CAPS!!!!!!!!
AND USE THESE!!!!!!!!

Its certainly no Disney World... They have the worlds largest coasters and plenty of hot women walking around in bikini tops and tiny shorts. They also serve beer. Anyway, no big deal as it was just one idea.

As far as tracks go Trax70 would be ideal for a Sunday race because it is a really big and fast track with large jumps, a large driver's stand, and AMB timing equipment.

Saturday is really the day that should be in question. IMO the best idea for Saturday would be some sort of test and tune gathering not too far from Trax70.

Well alright then.
I guess it's safe to say that Buddha's out...

Ok here's the deal...Pending the word back from Trax...

SUNDAY (Sept. 24th): Is the official RCNT ECB III Bash date at which everyone that plans on attending will meet at Trax (time to be determined). Till when ever either Trax kicks us our or we get tired of it...which ever comes first.

SATURDAY: This will be a free for all day. As people from out of town start arriving we can either meet up somewhere and have a night on the town, meet at a park, parking lot, construction site, whatever and bash there as well or not even run the R/C's that day - doesn't matter. The actual ECB III bash will be held at Trax on Sunday. Saturday will be used for us out of towners to get there and relax and have some time to meet up with everyone and get to know them a little more. More importantly it will be a time for me (WoodiE) to claim some of my pony rides :D

FRIDAY & MONDAY: Travel times for us out of towners, nothing planned.

While we don't think there should be a problem with us being able to use Trax for our event we are still waiting to hear back from them as to verify that it is in fact ok to meet there. However at this time that's where the event will be, unless we can't use Trax then we'll meet at another track.

Once I get the official word from Trax and we determine a good time to all meet there I'll edit the first post in this thread and reply to this thread with more official info and so on. For those of you that haven't replied yet, please do so if you plan on coming this way we can give Trax a number of what to expect come the 24th.
