My buddy just got me some Quality Ni-MH 2000mAh AAs. I put an order in for 50 units.

They are great for your TX you can run for days without a recharge.

My cost after shipping is around $2.00 each.

Sound off if you want some.

$2.00 per unit right? We can't expect you to sell them for that. We'd have to pay for shipping, but still you have to get something for your time for packing and shipping them out.

How many AA batteries are in a unit?

They are $2.00 each battery delivered to you.
My cost was $95 plus shipping.
8 in your TX and 8 in reserve. Perfect setup.

I'm keeping 16

Up for grabs 18......

He is also sending me 5 Flat Batteries with the same specs. My hope is they will fit into the TRX bat box. Just think a 2000 mah RX pack.

That thing will run for 45 minutes on a set of these.

You need to get a set for your wife. What a great anniversary present.

I remember reading on the net that you don't want to use recharagable AA batteries because they don't add up to the correct voltage. Is this just a myth?

There is some truth to that.
When your using 4 of them in your RX it becomes more of a factor. Your servos work best at 6v +-. When you have 4 of them at 1.2v you only get 4.8v and if you take the real voltage that may be around .95 to 1.1 fully charged it makes a big difference.

Rechargeable bats pretty much run at full voltage until they dump as to a alkaline battery that has more of a discharge curve.

In your TX that uses 8 bats and has no mechanical motors to drive the rechargeable are preferred. My M-8 will operate from 10v to 7.2. I use 1.2v 1600mah now and get around 6 hours of continues runtime. I expect to see a boost of around 2 hours.

I discharge then recharge my batteries after each day of use both in my RX and TX packs. I can say I have never had a runaway due to low batteries. Its always better to have overkill in the battery department.

If you look at my original post you will see I referred to only the TX for usage.

If I have made any mistakes in this post please correct me. My understanding of batteries is rudimentary.

I have 4 left to donate to Chris's wife for the cause.

Yeah I noticed that you only mentioned TX but I wasn't sure if the same thing applied. I bought a pack of 12 AA 1800mah for my digicam and love em. I can use my camera almost 3 times as long as compared to alkaline batts. YGPM.

I will have 100 Bats tomorrow.

That means I still have over 50 more for whoever wants them.

Sound off.....

Bats are in and will be sent on Monday.

Let me know if you want any.
I'm not making a penny on these things just want to share a good thing. My LHS is going to take any leftovers and sell them for $3.50 each.

$ 2.00 each free shipping for RCNT members.

Let me know.

just a friendly reminder, don't forget to purchase the correct charger for these type of batteries, if you don't already own 1
