$2.00 per unit right? We can't expect you to sell them for that. We'd have to pay for shipping, but still you have to get something for your time for packing and shipping them out.
I remember reading on the net that you don't want to use recharagable AA batteries because they don't add up to the correct voltage. Is this just a myth?
There is some truth to that.
When your using 4 of them in your RX it becomes more of a factor. Your servos work best at 6v +-. When you have 4 of them at 1.2v you only get 4.8v and if you take the real voltage that may be around .95 to 1.1 fully charged it makes a big difference.
Rechargeable bats pretty much run at full voltage until they dump as to a alkaline battery that has more of a discharge curve.
In your TX that uses 8 bats and has no mechanical motors to drive the rechargeable are preferred. My M-8 will operate from 10v to 7.2. I use 1.2v 1600mah now and get around 6 hours of continues runtime. I expect to see a boost of around 2 hours.
I discharge then recharge my batteries after each day of use both in my RX and TX packs. I can say I have never had a runaway due to low batteries. Its always better to have overkill in the battery department.
If you look at my original post you will see I referred to only the TX for usage.
If I have made any mistakes in this post please correct me. My understanding of batteries is rudimentary.
I have 4 left to donate to Chris's wife for the cause.
Yeah I noticed that you only mentioned TX but I wasn't sure if the same thing applied. I bought a pack of 12 AA 1800mah for my digicam and love em. I can use my camera almost 3 times as long as compared to alkaline batts. YGPM.
Let me know if you want any.
I'm not making a penny on these things just want to share a good thing. My LHS is going to take any leftovers and sell them for $3.50 each.
