gotta love streetfire...

anyway, that vid has been on the RCCA site for quite some years now...a good 4 at least...

That video is pretty old. That was the first nitro video I saw. I still dont know how it works though. Hopefull someone here does.

Oh my bad, I never saw it before and thought it was pretty cool.

The local RC flying park has a circular fenced in area for fly by wire rc planes. Some of the trick those guys pull-off are sick.

it's nitro but not R/C.....it's the same principle the old cox wire planes had.....
Yeah, I was wondering what the hell the dude in the middle was doing. Thats kinda cool, but not really much point of them cars huh? I mean ya have to run them in a circle all the time. Still cool they got it going that fast though.

the car in the vid is a tether car.......nothing realy fancy but this is still done here at flying field here 1 day a week...........a wire is attatched to a pole with a swivel so it dont wrap itself around the pole and the other end hooks to the side of the bridle on the car which is similar to the bridle on a kite.......the nitro engines are direct drive to the rear wheels........after everything is hooked up, they fuel up, push the car to get it started & let it go...........round & round, faster & faster it goes till it runs empty.........all they do is to see what they can do to the cars to get more speed than the rest & thats about it.........they did a dimo once on what the wire can do to a leg i thought was neat.........this one oldtimer had built a tether car that did 193mph, let it get up to speed & tossed a ham in there.......outch !! the wire cut the ham into........it was a small ham with the bone........
