That sounds pretty steep to me man...ouch. I would chck Tower Hobbies or another online hobby site. Not only is your truck broke but they are going to break one off in ya....Nothing like insult to injury right? What is wrong with your OWB? Did it break or just slipping. If the latter I would try cleaning it first.

i went 2 clean it i guess the dirt was the only thing holding it together all the bearing came tumbling to my garage floor lol i thought 20 bucks was a little steep so ill shop arround thanks

damn thats crap just so happens i work 4 a bearing co. so I'm about to get the hook up on all these expensive bearings i got the 2 for my steering for $1.50 so hit me up i may hook ya up i still need 2 look into the one way.

I've seen where guys punch out old OWB's in their LST 2 speeds and insert a new OWB in it's place. I haven't tried it, but if you can find an OWB for $5 that would fit... may be worth the effort.

They use a socket the same size as the bearing and put it in a vise that isn't clamped on the outside part, only wide enough for the outside part sit on the edges of the vise jaws to let the bearing punch through the bottom. Then they gently tap it with a hammer to get it out.

For installation, it may help to heat up the outside part to around 300F and put the bearing in the freezer, then put it together while the outside is still hot and bearing is still cold. Then when it cools, it's less likely to slip on you. Just a thought.

That's why your the rockstar!

Nice looking jig!

Too bad OS's bearings aren't the same way... Those were pricey and made funny without an insert like HPI's.

I have no idea what LRP's use... but really, that's all I run now and haven't had a OWB problem yet in about 2 years on my first LRP.

LRP has the internal OWB and mine is starttinf to slip a good bit. I have found the fuel I use here is bad about making the suckers slip. I have never pulled it out to see if it is changeable. Maybe I will something.
