2-speed conversion on the nitro smartech winner

Started out this way (in 9 days, on 27 may, I'll have owned this RC for one year)

then I added a different engine and pipe because I thought this engine was hopeless (in reality i recently found out that even though the lack of compression and large play between the piston rod and crankshaft it does work)

then I kinda replaced This inside of the case, including the gears & the shaft they're on, into the stock transmission case of the car

In order to have more space and play and not create friction, I slightly "dremeled" a bit out of the spring mechanism

this should not influence it's working as I only "touched" the outside, not the mechanism itself. Then, there still was a bit of friction with the bigger first gear so I dremeled the chassis a tiny bit

now it does fit nicely.and I don't know whether I took pictures, but I also had to dremel out a bit of the end of the shaft:

I'm unsure of what side I did it tho. I think the front. Here I put it together:

They can often be found second-handed for cheap. Don't ask how I know

Got good news, the parts are on their way to convert my GS onroad nitro to a two-speed

definitely...but i don't think i'll buy any more nitro, at least for now. i still have my cd3 pro to assemble.
