10 Gauge
Gone - bye bye.
I can't figure out why my Revo 3.3 is eating glow plugs.... I just put a nice tune on the motor, just an 1/8th turn rich of perfect for safe running temperatures. I got through my first half tank and noticed that my starter wand wasn't showing glow plug ignition so I took out the plug and tested it on my external igniter and sure enough no glow (plug looked perfect, coil was shiney, no discoloration from over temp running and slightly wet). I threw in a brand new plug, fired it right back up and kept on running, got to the last bit of tank and flipped the truck and went to restart it and once again noticed that the glow plug light on my wand wasn't lighting up. So I took the brand new plug out and put it on my igniter and sure enough once again, no ignition on the brand new glow plug. The coil however on this plug looks a bit distorted, kind of like it was pushed in a bit? Could this have happened from trying to start the motor while it's flooded (which I'm almost sure it wasn't but you never know it could have been and I didn't realize it).
So what gives? Is this common? I just got this 3.3 and have already blown $15 in glow plugs on one tank of gas, but when she's running she runs like a beastly beast and I am very pleased with it's performance.
This is a new thing for me, my LST2 never gives me glow plug issues, so this Revo has me scratching my head.
TIA.
