the output shaft is part number 5184. The one that your slipper goes on and the spur. It's either that or 5366...input shaft, transmission. (slipper shaft).with the spur on, if you spin it upn and look at the threaded part just past the nut and spring etc its not running true so its bent, the spur is going side to side aswell, even with a new gear, have ripped the teeth on 3 spurs now, so i think this is the problem
i can't find the shaft i need, the only one i can find here is one without a hex, it has a little hole in the shaft then a thread part, if this for the new clutch design, any part numbers or info on what parts i need?

Good luck with it man.worked out a list of the parts i need to replace the shaft and fit the newer style clutch and add 18/72 gearing, let me no if this is all i need, if not add whats missing so i can get this all ordered

Yea, absolutely. As long as they are still in good shape. I run an 18 tooth cb with a 54 tooth spur and my truck flies. It's all a matter of preference I guess. If your gears are still in good shape, sure re-use them. Just put a little light grease on them n go for it!yep the last number you gave was the shaft the drive shafts bolt onto lol
one with i was thinking, with the new shaft, are the gear ratio the same, if not i could just remove the gears from the old shaft yes?
hey matt? I don't mean to interupt the thread but let me ask ya.....what's your take on the venom failsafe? I just ordered one today as I almost pretzeled my truck yesterday....lol. these things any good? I did some reading up on them and they sound like they do their job. Any downfalls? Thanx. No grease on the gears. It'll just attract dust and possibly find it's way inside the clutch bell or get on the brakes. But +1 on reusing gears. As long as they're not broke, why fix 'em.![]()
