2.5 header ntc3 pipe

I should do something like that....i've though about that before. The one thing i'd like to do is a .21 conversion but i don't know about motor mounts and the sg crankshaft...if they're the same size

when I get my savage i'm gonna pull the engine while it's still new and examine it to see if it's possible

well when i do one i will post it step by step

well I'm doing that right now. I converted my T-maxx to a .26 and for the NTC3/2.5 there are a couple of issues.

1. My car is the pull start version so I bought the Dynamite rear exhaust header which I had to grind the flange a bit to clear the head, and pull start.

2. the EZ start was more than likely to get in the way so I got a pull start for the 2.5

3. the Associated flywheel nut for the SG crank is different threads than the 2.5 SG crank. So I had to order another traxxas flywheel nut. and because the nut is different I can't use the NTC3 stock clutch so I also had to order/get an MIP clutch. Plus the crank was a little long so I had to get a couple extra shims.

other than that, it should go in this weekend if the parts come in.

let me know how it goes, I might consider doing the same to my NTC3

Man, to tell you the truth, the only reason I'm doing it is because the 2.5 has become a spare motor.

If you don't already have a 2.5 motor, I myself wouldn't even bother spending my hard earned money on one.

Yeah the motor screams for the first gallon of gas or so, but then after that you're facing tuning and reliability issues.

I've only had my T-maxx since february and thats where this motor came from. Plus I've already rebuilt it once.

But it should be in this weekend if my flywheel nut arrives today. And I'll definately get some drag racing videos of it up against other motors.

I wanted to put a .21 in my GT-4, those buggy engine's are freakin powerful and cheap, but I doubt i could pull it off. An RB Innovations Supercharger might also scratch my speed itch, although the RX-18 in my car has plenty of power(1.25bhp) and i can do these crazy rotate-on-your-own-axis spins, as soon as I get my video camera charged Ill post a vid.

well its all most done and i did more work to the motor will have pics soon been bizzy

shadey26 ntc3 are you talking about my street car or my rc
