RC Newbie
Hello everyone, I am new to R/C Nitro. I have broken in my engine correctly. I had several experianced R/C'ers watching and laughing while I putted around slowly as they wheelied past. This was fun and had though this nitro stuff would be great. Then it started. The engine runs hot and will not idle down. Now, I have the HSN set 4 turns out, the LSN is flush and I have .7 to 1 gap on the idle screw. It will not idle down. This my be due to my tweeking the low speed needle in the past. I have read everything I can find. I am going to the track today to seek hands on help. But some one mentioned a possable air leak. I changed the head gasket yesterday as per my hobby shop advice and it was cheap. I will spray some WD 40 around the engine while running to see if the speeds up. If this is the incorrect way to find an air leak could someone let me know how to find out. Thank everyone.
