2.4Ghz Transmitter/Receiver question

I have a new T-Maxx and an S-Maxx that I am not sure what year it is. My question is can I put a 2.4Ghz receiver on my S-Maxx and use my 2.4 transmitter from my T-Maxx with it?

Yes, as long as the model number on the transmitter corresponds with the model number on the receiver.

That sounds good. The transmitter that came with the S-Maxx has the battery terminals corroded away. Thats what you get when you get free stuff!
