Hi,i have a prepainted shell and i want to redo it with my own design, what would i use to get rid of what is already on there and I've been told i need to use lexay / polycarbonate spray and to aspray from the inside.:\
Could someone please help with a simple step by step or something.

Thank you.

Typically, prepainted shells are actually silkscreen printed and I'm not really sure you can remove the paint. I still think it's just easier to buy a clear body and start from scratch. You will have to buy specific polycarbonate paint. Tamiya, Parma, Pactra, Createx and Spaz Stix are typically the most popular and easiest to find.

you can try maybe some break cleaner or paint thiner or something like that. but by the time you get every little bit of it off you would have bought enough cleaner to get yourself a new body.

i would stick to candymans idea. get a new body thats clear and ready to paint.

hmmmmm,ok i wish i new all this before i bought it,but never mind learn from my mistakes,if i did buy a clear shell do i need to spray it from the inside?

Yes..Paint it on the inside. Also, there will be a very thin clear plastic on the outside of the body to prevent overspray. AFTER you're all done painting the inside, remove the plastic covering.

Also hop on youtube, look around for rc painting tips. It wouldn't hurt if you're planning to make a design to experiment with liquid mask. I had a lot of difficulty masking off simple lines on the inside of the body. With the liquid mask, from what I understand, you can apply a few good coats and lightly cut out the film for the design you want to spray. With some practice, you will discover that painting them is just as much fun as driving them.
