Very good work man!! The flames and stuff painted too?? If so for the 1st time thats very bad ass! Youd be a hit here in Minnesota (Minnesota Vikings colors) I guess it depends on what time of the season it is..lol.. Anyway good job man!

The flames are painted and skull are both painted. I used vinyl paint masks from XXX Main for the flames and Parma for the skull. It is indeed my first airbrush job.

Is parma liquid mask?? (yes, I'm a newbie) and where can a person get paint masks? Lemme know, id like to check em out.

4u, Parma sells both liquid mask & pre-cut vinyl masks. XXX Main also sells pre-cut vinyl masks.

You can find either one at any RC store on the internet. Tower Hobbies has both of them.

How did you do the dark stroke around the flames? Is there a stroke or is it just the image compression making it seem that way? Anyhow, awesome job.

petelevin, welcome to RCNT.

Not sure what you are referring to about the dark stroke around the flames. Unless you are referring to the yellow at the flame ends which were done with an airbrush. Only 4 colors were used just as they came out of the bottles. Fasblack, fasyellow, faswhite and fascescent purple.

Not sure what he sees but, laying a black shadow down under the flames before you spray the purple is a simple effect that is done quickly and gives the body a better look also.

Absolutely a nice job.
Once you paint the first one, you can never again buy 'off the rack'. A good mask really helps....it keeps the dust out of your nose. Oh, not THAT kind of mask?
I use a Paasche dual action airbrush and shoot parma at 35 lbs. thinned about 2:1.
WARNING...WARNING....Don't mix the flip flop (fasescent) colors with clear coat to give it depth. You no longer have an airbrush, but instead you have a booger shooter. They do not mix.
TOTAL teardown on the airbrush to get it cleaned out.
I've had great success adding the glitter to the first coat (clear) but don't add it to any color coats.
