Its on its way but I wanna ask a poll :

I bought Competition Orange and Outlaw Black so far I was just going to go for an "off the showroom floor" but should I do that or add flames or some type of masking...

This was my guideline for the car originally :

But now I'm kind of leaning towards something more funky...

what are your guys/girls opinions?

I love the classic muscle car look, I think you should stick with your original plan. No matter which way you decide to go be sure to post pics after you paint it.

I would have to agree with NC, I like the paint job the way it is, it sort of reminds me of Joe Dirte.

Bah, in my wildest dreams! Ill post a pic of the ol 1:1 sometime when I find it! Its a 1969 Boss 302, Alcapoco Blue, Black leather interior, 4 speed....

Paint it like the original. That is a great looking car. Plus, that is pretty much all you see is something with flames or other designs, nothing ever original.

Lmao nitro dave your sig is awesome I went to that site before and was going to make a sig like that but I saw you made one.
Sorry off topic:OT:

Ok, look like it will be an original paintjob! Now where can I find Cragar type rims? I have 5 star HPIs on there now but that doesn't look "classic" ??

Glad to here ya going with the original, because how many sweet old Mustangs have a funky design on them. For the rims, I dont know if your going to just show the car or how hard your going to drive it, or how much money you want to spend but maybe you can get with someone who can make the exact rims that is on the boss. I am not sure but if you look into the members ride section there is a guy who made his own rims and a lot of other stuff for his custom nitro monster truck. Just a thought.

I beleive he goes by the name "Ram-tech"

Glad to see that you are going with the original muscle car scheme.

Yeah this is going to be a SHOW only! No body holes no running it, that is until I do another one :) Preferably a 1970 Mach 1, or a 1966 Coupe with side exhaust...

Btw yeah I'm a hardcore Mustang guy always have always will if u can't tell :) And all of these models(besides the basher Saleen I have on there now) are all shells of cars that weve owned :)

Man that guys crazy! I did order an LED set from him though...those spinners are sweet...

Well body is here, man it feels like a harder plastic then the HPI shells. I have Compatition Orange and Outlaw Black...I'm doing a Grabber color on the Mach 1 shell if I can find one :)

try a darker color that has mettalic kandy or pearl with the comp black it looks sweet on a fullsize if painted well but it aLL BOILS DOWN TO HOW MUCH TIME YOUR WILLING TO SPEND

Got some bad news! I ordered teh car got it, but the masking is the problem. I got 2 sheets of masking and the layouts so I have to cut them out no problem right? Well the layouts for the masks are wayyyyy to small SO I'm going to have to do the masking by hand which should be too hard since its simple lines but still makes me a little mad...

I am the biggest dolt on the planet! The stripes and all were masked onto the paper already and I didnt know! So i handmasked everything then went to do the windows with the masking paper provided and I saw the precut masks!!!!!! I am sticking with my handdone ones bc whens its finished I know I did it and not some premasked thing...Ill put some pics up later of the car with its masks...
