See, I live in RI.. and they'll give a gun to just about anyone.. Even the unstable psycho on the street... as long as he could write his name! That scares the sh*t out of me! And the NRA? Just another place for people to get drunk.... At least in this state it is..
I used to work next to an NRA member.. and he has documented psycological issues.. and he owned more firearms that the RI state police TOTAL. and he kept one in his tool box.... He was the scariest person I've ever met.
I just don't believe that we as the public donot need to own/posses a firearm.. There won't be any in my house! And my inlaws are psychotic about that crap... and there the people who donot belong in public by them selves!

The american public does NOT need to own firearms of any type. Reguardless of the 2nd ammendment (which was written when the Brittish was invading).. I think its a little outdated.. They should ban fire arms in the hands of the american public. The only people who should have them are officers of the law.

And yes, its far from perfect here... but there is no need for a home owner to own a firearm to "protect" their home.. Thats what cops are for!

And since the police show up at the door within 30 seconds of you calling them, right? You ban firearms, and the people who use them for crime will still have them. So you are going to let someone come into your house, possibly rape/kill you or your family and take your goods that you worked so hard for? I see crime skyrocketing with the banning of guns. If a criminal knows they have the edge, what is going to stop them?

Those few words are probably the best and shortest way I have ever seen to express the true issue of gun bans. NRA might even want to look at that as a catchphrase.

That is just how I feel. The people who say "firearms need to be banned" need to also think of the consiquences. You think a criminal will walk into a gun store and purchase a gun legally? I really doubt it. A lot of the guns used in crimes are either stolen or purchased through the underground market. There is really no way to "Ban guns". As long as the people who are going to use them for wrong can get them, there is really no stopping the use of firearms. There is really no way to take away all of the guns from civilians either. It just won't and can't happen.
