18t Cb...ohmy!!

ran my 18T CB set up this weekend like i said i would.....Man,,guys you all arent gonna believe me so i will keep this thread short till i get it on video...but my Storm rode friggin wheelies for about 10-15 feet...several times....running my STS.28 with 18T CB!!!!!!!!!!! HOLLY SMOKES!!!!!!!!

I got some racing footage of it on camera so when beason and i can hook up we will post it on here. This is my first vid so I'm in need of help to post it. but as for the wheelies...man you gotta see this!!!!!..

i stripped the bell after about 30-45 minutes of run time due to the teeth being so short...lt made it hard to line up.

I will get the vids. Its insane!!!!!!!

which CB are you running? Is it hardened steel? Have you tried the Robinson one?

Buggies will wheele. Seen it myself. Definently get some vids....

was the CB for the savage...not hardened but the teeth are so short..guess i will get the ofna one

I have the Robinson one and will be using that soon as I get a Steel spur. I ended up trading I just got to get stuff for the X5. I took a loss on that one.

hmm..i wonder if the robinson is something i should look into?

Yeah, the savage bells don't last long at all when joined up with a steel spur. I only use the OFNA ones now regardless if I'm running the savage or my buggy.

I've had mine wheelie, but it has to hit a bump and I'm running 50K oil in my center diff ;)

it kinda spooked me the first time it wheelied...after that i wanted more. It wasn't till later we realized we didnt have it on film..but we shot a few racing vids after that.

yea i was there man that thing friggin flies!! you will see in the video my buggy is running a ns .25 and he was running circles around me!! maby we can get more on film next time..

hmmm wheeliein Buggy... prove it please. Heard it and really have never seen it. I have seen an electric buggy wheelie.

Lets not talk about it.
Just post the vid...I have said this befor and here it is again
BS :horsecrap
Every one that has stated this has yet to show it being done..
So now with that you had better put up or shut up...
I bet your buggy goes 70 mph to!

Hey Wannarunem, we are cool and with the other wheelin dude that claimed that never showed it but argued it. Just bustin your balls thats it. Coming from you I am sure you will have a vid soon of it. Just get the robinson set up.

Zandor i have seen buggies wheelie, but its normally assisted by a bump, or alot of oil in the center dif, they will start to lift on anything above 10000 in the center, but like i said its normally bump assisted, and any way only 70mph mate mine does 100 lol NOT, i wish it did though

Uh ho...I spy another wheelie boy argument coming on...

I think people are assuming that when some say "wheelie" they mean an MT style wheelie, as in the truck is almost vertical and some are meaning the front wheels just lift off the floor some, whether its 5 degrees or 90 degrees. its still a wheelie.

1st off let me say I cannot prove what I am about to say but I have no reason to make anything up PLUS if you don't believe me, fine I don't care anyway but I saw it with my own eyes up close!!

The main straight at my club is approximately 100ft long and the corner leading on to it has been opened up a lot so you are already going reasonably quick onto it. At the last meeting, in the heat I was marshalling, I was watching a guy who was travelling hella fast down the main straight so he caught my attention, when I had to turn him over I made a point of looking at the top of his engine, he runs a JP something, about 20ft into the straight there is a bump, right where his engine/pipe combo is must be hitting its highest torque.

As I'm watching him he hits the bump, the front lifts and he travels on the rear two wheels for a good 25-30 foot until it drops back down.

My theory is this, from a standing start this could not happen but with some help from the bump whilst already going a pace, a heavy centre diff, a heap of power and the AIRFLOW under the car pushing it up, all helped to keep the nose up for a lot longer than should be possible. The whole of the pitlane saw and went "WHOAAA" and he spent the whole of the day trying to replicate what he did and he managed to repeat the trick another 4 or 5 times that I saw.

Wheelies in buggys can happen but not in the same style an an MT wheelie.

Yeah, that's what mine does. Hit a bump at about 1/2 full speed while hard on the gas and the front kicks up and stays up for about 10 feet or so.

Like I said, I'm running 50K in the center diff. I really like how it reacts. But I don't race.

Bump asssisted wheelies are still wheelies to me, and if you can ride them 10-15 feet more power to you. Prove it! I'll spend the time downloading a vid of that with dial up. LOL!!!!!!

i was there dude!! like ryan said it wasn't a mt style bumper dragging wheelie.. it was carring the front tires for a good 10 ft and that was is my yard.. i dont know if he has changed the diffs yet but that would be something to look into.. but wheelie or not that thing flies!!! when he hits it its 4 rooster tails about 3 or 4 ft high!!! its crazy!! we got video but his software is being dumb.. its the stuff that came with the AIW so i think its maby a demo or something..

not sure on the wheelie thing, but i thought the center diffs prevents that from happening?!?! i mean given the power of some .28s and the front end weight of a buggy, they would flip over...

please correct me if i'm wrong
