hi!!
i'm planning to buy an engine.. what would be a good engine? is k&b .18 engine good? please give me feedback about reliability ang longevity.. i'm also considering o.s. .15 cv..
thanks a lot!!

What are you putting this engine into there bro?? Give us that much and we can work on it from there.

i would actually use the marine version of these engines.. since it's hard to find any forums about marine engines, i try my luck here.. anyway i guess the marine and car versions don't defer much... i read a lot of useful infos here, especially about os.. i think the cv-rx is great, but this is only cv-x. thanks for any reply.

You might just need to change the cooling head to one for a water pickup. Air cooled is fine but water is better, but thats just my opinion.

What size boat and hull style are you putting it in?

30in.. i'm drawing upa plan for a runabout barrelback.. scratchbuild, i like to do my own design and building.. this would be my first rc boat though. but i also wanted to use it on a bigger boat someday... i'm on a limited budget so the engine must be flexible.

OS makes engines designed for marine use. There are many brands out there but what's inportant is the water cooling.

I don't know about the nitro engines but my brother and I are looking to finish a boat project of ours. It's different because it's using a gas engine instead of a nitro engine. It's also bigger, Apache 50 (50"). Here's a pic ...
