Hey there guys

Just a quick query. I have just been given a set of proline wheels and tires. They are 17mm hex's. My 25 has 14mm hex's. Is it just a case of buying the 17mm hex's or do I need anything else like the axels to suit. Not sure of the inner diameter of the hex's. Will my stock axels work with 17mm hex's?

Many thanks.

You need new flanged nuts or some washers.

Depending on if you have chrome and black axles, you may need two axles as well. When I converted mine to 17mm, I had to buy two normal thread axles to replace the reverse thread axles. Then I needed the HPI 17mm hex's and the flanged nuts to go with them (which are all normal threaded).

I know what you mean. Mine has silver axels on one side and black on the other side. I've seen a set of 17mm hex's on ebay but would have to change the silver axels for black ones. I prosume the nuts i currently use would not be big enough to hold the wheels on.
