Anyone else have issues running a 12T CB since the bearings have to be so small?

The CB I'm using is racers edge and it requires that you use 5x8mm bearings. I think I've already toasted my first set in about 1-2 quarts of running...

Anyone find a good bearing that small that holds up? Duratrash obviously is a bad choice... to bad I just bought 4 off of Tower :(

I found a non-nitride and the nitride one at stormer. Your certain it uses typical 5x10 intstead of 5x8 bearings?

I'm using the sportwerks nitride coated 12t CB and I use the same bearings for all my CBs...the smaller ones just get too hot too fast......there's another one that supposed to use the standard bearings as well but I can't remember which one....also I was told by HCR that Kyosho makes an 11t CB that uses standard bearings as well.......but the sportwerks ones are definately not crap......the tooth shape keeps the wear to a minimum as well as the nitride coating....and they're fairly cheap compared to some of the higher end CBs
 
I have just installed a Sportwerks Mayhem 12T Clutch Bell (SWK3212) in my MP7.5 truggy & it seems to have at least the same dia as a 13T.

I was expecting to have problems with the disc brakes hitting, but it seems to clear by at least 1mm. My kyosho 13T has marks on where the brakes have touched it in the past.

I have not yet run this arrangement but all seems to fit ok. Bearings are std size.

I just bought the sportwerks normal 12T bell from stormer and some 5x10 bearings. It would be nice if some places would say what bearings go with what before you buy things...
