did that but when the tank ran dry it died . I heard the engine rev up a little then die. I heard that was what you should hear. When trying to start it again the damn thing just sits there and tryies to start but no go and it is back to expelling the gas. What now?I want to take it out to a parking lot to break the engine in!

u got me stumped - go buy an OS, lol. Just kidding. have u tried to open the carb a lil more when u try to start it? that would allow more air in and maybe help with the flooding. I'm not sure i am understanding the question fully though. have u ever had this engine running yet? are u still set up for breakin proceedures? what TX are u using? this is an NTC3 with a hpi ss engine right? which carb, slide or barrel?

I have a rotary..what is a barrell anyways? Yeah I had it running for one tank now but starting it over is a pai. The gas went quick for the first tank! I am still trying to break it in.HPI said that this engine will take a little longer than a normal engine would take.Whatever that means.. I am using a Futaba T2PH. I did try running the carb a little more open but nope no banana. Kwong said to try leaning out the LSN ..

i say barrel - same as rotary. Kwong is on the right track - if u are still setup for break in - lean out the LSN and HSN quite a bit, get it running, and then richen them up again just to the point of stalling.

When i say alot - i mean about a 1/4 turn on the LSN and 1/2 turn on the HSN

I GOT IT RUNNING!!! Woohoo:w00t: :w00t: I ran it for about 45 min straight and refueled 5 times. Since I got 1 tank in befroe that would make it 6 tanks that have gone throught the engine. When is a good time to start leaning it out? I am running it rich for lubrication. I can feel the power at the line but can't really tell about the mid to top end since I am running it rich? Does any one have an idea when breaking in is actually done? I have also heard that the ngine keep getting better as you run it.

u have more than adaqutely broken in the engine - go lean it out for power!

WOOHOO:w00t: :w00t: I am going to do it today! Hey NA I did try the LSN and that was the ticket!! After that starting it was simple.no flooding or anything. Is it normal for a car to run like it is bogged down at the breaking in stage? Cause I want more power!!THanks again NA & KWONG

yes - the bogging is caused by the engine being super rich - that will all end once u start leaning it out. make sure u lean the HSN first - then the LSN. do it in incriments of 1/8th a turn and make sure u run it at least 2 minutes between changes. dont over lean it!

Don't lean which needle? I thought you want to lean the HSN needle a little till the power wanted is found. What shouldn't I lean?
