10/22 Ruger

Hey thanks

I even found one selling some 50 round mags. Anyone know if those 50 round clips work well? I'm pretty sure it's tons of fun to load by hand with out a loader Damn, I may need to buy me another 10/22...my last one got stolen years ago when someone broke into our home. That pissed the royal f*** out of me since my dad bought that for me before he died :depress:

The Ruger 10/22 is definitely a sweet shooter. A friend of mine has one, and it is very consistant.

Here are a few lead slingers that I have:

Winchester 94 lever action .44 mag
Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk .44 mag
.32 Savage semi-auto pistol
M1 .30 Carbine
1918 Colt .22LR semi-auto pistol

Hey, Jeep, which model 94 do you have? I am currently looking at a Model 94 in the Ranger, Legacy round or the Trails End. Not sure of which caliber though.

Mine is a 94AE, 16" barrel , and It's a slightly older rifle, I call it a brush cutter, some call it a trapper, it chambers the standard 44 mag centerfire round, same as my Ruger Super Black Hawk ,,and it's sweet

Well I feel like a complete fool!!

I went into my local gun dealer today looking for an AR 15 type gun. The guy had a few including a Bushman which was real nice. I've been wanting something kind of wild and something pretty old. It's some kind of ich I guess. Anyways, I got to talking with him about finding someone selling 25 round clips for a 10/22 all day long as if I found a gold mine lol He then pointed me to a huge stack of them he had beside the counter. I sratched me head for a moment wondering about all these people selling these clips like crazy. We got to talking about the Bushman again and I asked about finding a clip for it. The dealer said they come new with a 20 round mag. I said to him new and he said yes? This didn't sound right to me and then proceeded to ask him about the assult weapons ban...banning anything made or imported in the US holding more than 10 rounds. He gave me a half smile and said the ban was over :ahh: Damn, I never knew that, why didn't someone mention that before lol Like I said I feel like a fool for not knowing that lol Just goes to show you how long it's been since I've bought a gun. The last gun was a 30.30 Marlin...damn nice gun but I sold it a while back. All I got now is:

S&W 357 and some Saturday night special type want a be James Bond looking 9mm

I'll trade that 9mm type gun for a 10/22...It's some forign gun and not a 9mm luger type. I paid 125.00 for it and comes with 2 clips that holds 6 rounds each.

Well guys here is my finished 10/22


It started out as a 1984 standard carbine, I got it used. Polished the bolt, trigger assembly, and reciever and added the following.

Boyds blaster Patriot
ER Shaw Barrel
Skeeters adj hammer
Skeeters adj sear
Skeeters oversize pins
VQ Trigger
VQ Extended Mag release
Barska 6.5-20x50mm Scope w/3in sunshade

I was counting the days when the ban would end. Now I have my AK-47 with TWO 30 round mags. Oh, and the EVIL bayonet attached and flash suppressor/compensator.
Not to totally derail this thread, I have a 10/22 that I dropped a new hammer and sear into. Very good trigger pull, maybe 3 pounds. The rifle itself is stainless barrel/receiver and composite stock. My all weather squirrel terminator.
My brother has two 10/22's. One is a basic walnut stock one made a while ago, and also a hvy barrel 10/22T model (sweet shooter).
If you guys want to know what other lead chuckers I have, just ask.

That's sweet VB.
I'm still farting around with mine. Sanding on the stock. (It wasn't finished) And the barrel channel still needs some work. Did get the bolt release to work. (Didn't have enough dremeled out.)

Finally got a pic of mine. Haven't shot it this way. Not as good looking as VB's, but that is what turned me on about them. Easy to personalize. Whatever you want, it's out there.

Thought I would put my little Buckmark in there too. Getting off on the rimfires.
