I cracked the 1 way bearing so I got another but it was to short, it did not make contact withe the shaft. I reordered and got the correct one but if I tighten all 4 screws on the backing plate all the way it seizes the motor to where you can not turn it over. I backed the screws out a few turns to where it will turn over and seems ok. I used locktite on all 4 screws to make sure they do not loosen. Seems like a really tight fit.

Question is why can't I tighten it all the way. With the old bearing I could tighten it all the way, they measure the same. Maybe I am just reading to much into it. We will see if it holds up.

If you can't screw it down all the way without binding then there is a problem, check you part numbers again and look at the parts explosion in the manual to make sure you have it going together correctly

I'm thinking the o-ring makes up for that space. I broke another 1 way bearing trying to start the motor, I double checked the part number. Ill find out on the next install.

I got a new bearing and an o-ring. It went together very nice, no binding. However I can't get it to kick over since. Its getting fuel, new glow plug (just in case), igniter is fully charged and works (ignites a plug out of the truck), the motor turns over like it should. I have a roto start. Any ideas??
