Has anyone tried a 1/8 clutch on their trucks? I'm running the Wasp .21 mb and I keep frying the springs off my clutches.

To change to an 1/8th scale clutch, you will need to change your clutchbell & spur gear. If you talk to ScottM from RC Solutions, he can sell you there 1/8th scale spur & tell you which clutch/flywheel setup to buy.. I currently run the setup he suggested, & it works great...

yep yep, ScottM can hook it up. They offer a big block spur which is 1/8 scale... the thing is is that it comes in either 52 or 54 tooth. So since your lookin to run it on a small block yer probably gonna wann use a really small CB. Like a 13 tooth maybe. He suggested to me OFNA CBs. which is what I have on my setup.

I'm giving the RadRC 4 shoe clutch a shot. I'll post my findings soon. I just installed it but haven't run it yet.

I had the same problem with burning out shoes and springs. Figured I'd try the cheaper route first, it's only $25 for a flywheel, shoes and spring.

I'll try PM'ing him. I've been running 23/66 gearing because I use 7.5 diffs. I need to figure out the equivalent gearing in 1/8 pitched gears.
