Anybody running a 1/8 set up in the 4x4 slash? If you are what set up and how is it geared? I'm really considering a Novak HV system and I don't want to guess at the pinion size....They are not cheap!

I've seen numerous people running the 1/8th MMM 2650 in there 4x4's and on 4s, they do like 65+... couldn't tell you the gearing though

Someone has to be running a 1/8 system in their Slash......I need ideas on gearing so I don't have to spend a small fortune on testing, those mod 1 pinions are expensive!

tell me about it! i bought 3 of them tuning my ste. 12 bux a pop is ALOT.

The novak system is ok but i would certainly recommend a mamba monster setup. They can be had all day long for 200 on alot of forums and when tower has decent codes, you can buy new for just a little more.

A Novak HV Pro 6.5 system is already on it's way, I need to pick up a pinion for it. I know the MMM combo is faster and adjustable but I'm not looking for a speed record, just nice power without worrying about heat issues! I just can't put the gearing I want on the VXL without the temps starting to rise.

do not let moisture of any sort near that esc. Serious. Don't even run it in freshly cut grass. (thats what killed mine)
