I have been looking for a better tire for my Tekno DB48 and landed on some tires for a 6s Mojave. 17mm hex, perfect width of about 55mm similar to the 2.8” proline badlands OG which I like, and about 138mm in OD, while the badlands fall short in OD. A tall skinny tire is the direction I want to take. Plus these are street tires, which could be fun.

I found these on AliExpress for about $75 and they fit perfectly on the Tekno. They look belted, have a nice feeling foam, but the wheel feels thin to me. I dont know what the arrma wheels are like.
They are directional and come unglued. I’m about to glue them up and I will get them out for a test review tomorrow.

The box says I can hit “reject high speed” 🤓 and I intend to.

It says something else altogether but, I will hit “reject high speeds”

If they run as good as they look, they will be killer! :thumbs-up:

Not bad for an AliExpress special! I will give my unbiased opinion once the rubber meets the road, and hopefully I can get to it today. I have a laundry list of chores to do.

I tried these tires out last night, well they have a ton of traction roll on the street. I would have to adjust my setup on the DB48 to avoid that. The tires seem really good for street, I would like to test them on dirt!

I got the shredder out on dirt this weekend, man these tires are amazing! They kill it on the street and in dirt. I highly recommend the AliExpress 1/7 Mojave tires.

My poor Mojave is collecting dust, not in the good way, needs some maintenance, but haven't had the time. Good to know about the tires. :thumbs-up:

Anything with a 17mm hex could probably fit these things. I am going to give them a go on my XTM nitro when I get around to fixing the shocks.
I will see if I can put them through some hell this weekend!

Here is an update on this tire:
They are amazing! The wheel itself is pretty flimsy feeling, but I haven't broken one yet. The tires must have had a break-in period because what used to be traction roll over has now turned into some sliding on the street. Still though, take it easy on the cornering to prevent roll over and set up your car accordingly. I had to stiffen up on springs and some other things to make it stiffer for on-road.
In the dirt these tires are really fun and capable. The car still feels very responsive in dirt and gets pretty loose over the grass.
Not a bad purchase at all, and I may get the all-terrain type tire as well. I don't know what they cost now but either way, a good purchase.

I just gave these tires a hard 2 tanks on the street in the XTM .28 SH. The KKPIT tires seem legit. What used to be traction rolls has come down to some nice controllable sliding. Too sharp of a turn will still cause a roll, this is an “off-road” buggy after all. I rolled it once and thankfully it did not land on the head.
