Thanks!

That's a cool Impala, I love the older cars..

It used to be registered before I had the chassis put under it. It's not registered now, but I am thinking about getting Antique plates for it.
Rhode Island is awful with all the emissions stuff.

When it was registered

Thats cool! Is it a full tube chassis of a unabody? Colorado Is really strict on emissions also. I have a suburban with a 383 :) and its always a pain in the arse to get it to pass and they make sure it has everything smog pump stuff like that.

It must be nice to change the oil on that with the filter right there on the firewall :)

It's the stock chassis, just with the cage and some other strengthening, when I had it apart I replaced everything. Mechanically it's a brand new car..

That's actually the brake booster (big yellow can) - need to get rid of the power brakes one of these days...

Notice the body (or what's left of it) hanging from the ceiling..

Wow man you did a ton of work to that thing nice work! i though about tubbing my Impala but I just dont think I could take a cutting torch to it lmao.

Having done it - I would say RUN AWAY!!!!

The driveability is awful for the street, it's meant to go straight and that's all. I oonly did it because I want to go faster and want to be safe..

Thats awesome!!! I also thought that was the oil filter up on the firewall... Got me thinking.. if you spilled one drop of oil on the brakes... there aint no slowin down!!!

Thanks .21 (if I may call you that). It's a fun ride, but I must admit, the T-Maxx is just as addicting...

Nice 3000GT, I remember when those cars first came out. One kid in town had one and it tore up just about anything that went up against it.

Check this out a 59 Impala set up pro street like yours :jet: Its a fiberglass body but still very cool.

Against the impala?!?! LMFAO!!!!

Whats so funny about that? The motor I have will be putting out almost 450 hp and If I add the tri power (thats 3 2 barrel carburators) to that it will have much more. I'm also dropping in a 4 speed this isnt going to be your average Impala! So :P lol. I wish I had about 10 grand they make a 6-71 blower for my 348 that thing would rock then hehe

Those impalas are heavy cars, and they handle like boats, but i gotta admit, they are sick cars!!! I am fimiliar with the three dueces, but have heard they are harder to get in tune with each other... Thought about it on my mustang... but i think I'm either going fuel injection with centrifical supercharger or a bigger 4 barrel and a roots type supercharger... (not the huge ones)...

Yeah it is pretty heavy lol it will be lighter when I'm done though I'm taking out the cast iron 2 speed power glide that I swear weight 200 pounds at least!! I also have found fiberglass fenders for it which would help a lot alos dont know if I will get them though real exspensive and hard to find. I'm going to replace all of the suspension and update it to disk breaks. They dueces are difficult to tune but once you get the set they rock! You know what would be sweet in your mustang is a newer 5.0 Fuel injected motor with all of the bolt on goodies that thing would rock and be something you could still drive with no problems on a daily basis

The black one is a 1990. 306, full exhaust, Tremec, MSD, ... Needs the 4:10's I have on the shelf put in, heads, intake, and injectors to even try that Malibu, but I'll run you any day. Just the kind of guy I am. LOL!!!!

The White one is mostly stock ather than exhaust, cold air intake, world class T-5, cobra R's, and disc breakes all the way around. I bout it off of a friend of mine after he put it in the ditch in hopes of making a moderate road car, but it has been sitting in the barn for over a year now. In fact so has the black one all most. I start them up once in a while when the neighbor's honda buds show up. Other than thatthey just sit. Maybe I'll take more interest in them someday, but right now I'm into RC's and Fishing.
