Ok so now I have a question, I'm friggity fresh to electric RC and have no idea what brushless is, could someone fill me in on what it is?

There's no brushes like on conventional electric motors. Do a little searchin' to find out all the differences; either here or google. The main thing to know is that they kick brushed motor ass all day long and require none of the maintenance. They're more efficient as well.
