I'm starting a new project, something simple but complete. I have a Fusion 2300 and a Holmes SV400 servo waiting for it, and then the order is for the kit with metal bumpers, underdrive since the 2300 is already powerful, better than putting an overdrive, a brass kit for the front axle, and the complete servo winch kit. I think I'll put in some other rubbers, and that's all for now. We'll see how it's assembled.

Finally I have also ordered some RC4WD Interco Ground Hawg II 1.55:

Z-T0155-3.webp

Second pull, it's already taken about 6 hours of work just on the chassis and there's still work to be done, it's amazing, the best leaf spring chassis I've built so far, I love this thing, the winch system is a delight

AND Thanks to watching videos and reading before having it, something you might not realize when assembling it is that the shock absorbers come with an O-ring as a stop, but as standard it does not reach the stop, so I added another ring so now it does stop as it should.

This looks like an excellent kit, thanks for sharing/documenting your progress. 👍
Thanks for watching. The truth is that there are only a few of us left who share these things. I searched before buying and only found some videos on YouTube, but nothing in forums, and there are many already around. It's a shame that these things are lost.

So true... I have the mindset that we all had to start somewhere. So I try along the way during my builds if I remember to take many pics and/or videos to share. Many 'newbs' , I think, have a fear of asking questions worried about getting hammered by more tech savvy members. Maybe everyone is seeking something different from the hobby but during the process I believe it helps ingrain fortitude, problem solving, adapting, creativity and gaining some general knowledge of how stuff works..with that said, my son just looks at my builds and says "wow, that's cool" and then proceeds to play bass/guitar for a couple hours or more! 😅😅 No interest in RC whatsoever!
Ok, I'll get off the soapbox now 😬

The same thing happens to me, I have a honcho scx10 for him, and he doesn't pay much attention to it... the same thing he does to me when I show him something new that I've built hahahahaha

I didn't even know this kit was a thing. Looks like a very fun, very solid build. Absolutely love the body.

this chassis comes with adjustable wheelbase , from 267 to 287 , and from 287 to 301 with option rails , can buy without body & wheels , i think that in 287 with hilux body , its for far , much better than tf2

That's really cool. I've never done anything with leaf springs before. I'll have to add this to my list of kits I wish to one day build lol.
