Hello guys, I need your help.

I have a Yokomo GT4 and it keeps spinning out. How do i fix this problem? It has on it
os .18 engine
foam tires

What are some quick fixes i can do to keep my car in straight. Thank you.

more information

It does not spin out much at full throttle. It really spins out when you going into and out of turns. As soon as i tap the steering wheel, it begins to fishtail. Also if I take off at absolute full throttle, it begins to spin out.

if it spins at full throttle check to see if something is binding up by the wheels.

Sounds like you have lost power to the front wheels? Is it shaft drive? Not real familiar with that car, but on my RS4 3's there is a set screw on the front shaft drive cup that comes loose every now and then, it causes the same problems you have described.

hope this is helpful.

You need to tune your suspension and chassis from what I can understand. You can also tune tire/wheel and foam inserts. A really good book to understand how to tweak your onroad car is the XXX-Main touring car set up giude.

Please give uis more detail. WHat is your tire or foam tire rating ? What springs and oil combo? Can you travel in a straight line?

Can you recomend where to get a guide like that besides my local hobby shop?

I understand

I guess that after three people to me to get the XXX-Main touring car guide, then that means i really need to get it. Do you have any websites on where i can buy this book from?

Thank you, for your help. Also are there any other books that your recommend I should buy? Also is there a book telling you how to deal with air leaks on an engine?

try the search button at the top, this website is amazing for tuning/repairs/hop-ups and just about anything else you can think of for RCs, and if you can't search it ask ppl, they probobly have more information to share then a book would ever give you. Just my expieriance as a new member

Man, a O.S. 18 is a pretty powerful engine for a 1/10th scale nitro car. Here are afew things that may help your issue:

1) Do you have a centex clutch ? If you do, your clutch is too heavy. Tightned down the clutch nut. This will make enable the clutch to spin more when you get back on throttle.

2) Try softer springs in the rear
3) Change out to a lower weight oil in the rear ( 40 or 30 wght )
4) Make sure you have the proper ride height. 5.0mm in the front and 6.0 mm in the rear.
5) If all else fails, change your driving style. Instead of getting on the throttle too quickly, feather your throttle as your coming out of the corner.

Goodluck
